Cloud and Enterprise Architecture Community of Interest

The Cloud and Enterprise Architecture Community of Interest Group is a HUIT/HKS partnership created to gather IT practitioners from across all Harvard schools to share knwoledge and foster collaboration.

Who is part of the Cloud and Enterprise Architecture Community of Interest?

The group is made up of 1-3 participants from each school who have interest or expertise in the following business and/or technical areas:

  • Networking and Security
  • Operations and Architecture
  • Applications Development

How frequently do you meet?

Every two months, though the cadence may change based on need and timing of related IT initiatives. Please reach out to Ben Rota if you would like to join.

What topics do you discuss?

In addition to being an opportunity to network with peers in similar roles, we focus our conversations on:

  • drivers for Cloud adoption and experiences specific to each school.
  • architectural deep dives on special topics like application architectures optimized for the Cloud, automation patterns, and network and security designs.
  • learnings about successful migration strategies and case studies on specific applications.
  • lessons learned and challenges.
  • new roles in the Cloud.

Erica Bradshaw, HUIT Associate Chief Technology Officer, and Ann Lurie, HUIT Director of Architecturefacilitate the meeting. However, group members mutually participate in setting the agenda, leading discussions, and identifying promising opportunities for collaboration.
